You'll take a mid
morning flight out
of Cape Town
(included in the
tour price) and
land about 2.5 hours later,
at a tiny airport
that is actually
inside Kruger
National Park.

Once you've landed,
you'll
be transported on a
10 minute drive,
through the
surrounding bush, to
the camp at which
you'll be staying.
After checking in to
your bungalow,
you're on your own
to explore this
remote bush camp.

Depending on where
you are staying, it
will be a two to 10
minute walk down to
the area where the
general store,
restaurant and take
out facility are,
right on the Sabie
River. You can sit
on a picturesque
deck alongside the
river, sip a cup of
tea and try and find
animals on the river
banks!

The best time to see
animals is around
sunrise and sunset,
and your safaris are
planned around these
times.
At about 4 p.m.
you'll take a stroll
(about three to 10
minutes, and 100 to
300 yards/metres) up to where
the sunset safari
departs from. You'll
be in an open air
game viewing
vehicle, with an
experienced and
skilled guide.
The safari will last
about three hours,
on Kruger's dirt,
back roads.

- best

safari! |
For most of the
year, this safari
drive only comes
back after dark, and
you will have the
opportunity to use
search lights to try
and find animals!
After getting back,
you'll walk back to
your bungalow, or
the restaurant,
where you're on your own
for supper.
We suggest an early
night tonight, as
you have an early
start tomorrow.
Depending on the
time of the year,
the safari generally begins between 4
a.m. and 5 a.m. You
will once again take
the short walk to
the safari departure
location. This is
once again in an open
air game viewing
vehicle, with the
safari lasting
about three hours.

You'll be on your
own to buy yourself breakfast at
the same restaurant,
and will have a few
hours to wander
around the camp,
before leaving for
the airport at about
midday. You will
once again be flying
out from a small
airport inside
Kruger, with the
flight to
Johannesburg taking
about an hour,
landing by about
2.30 p.m.
